Ed is passionate about applying business solutions to social problems. Prior to his career in healthcare, he assisted nonprofit and mission-focused businesses in developing social enterprises and alternate revenue streams directed at creating positive social impact. As an independent nonprofit consultant his work focused on program evaluations, impact measurement, B-Corp assessments, and strategic planning.
Ed currently serves as the Programming Committee Chair on the Board of Directors of 4:13 Strong, a local nonprofit organization that provides workforce development and job skills training for at-risk and formerly incarcerated young men. His research on aftercare programs and the public tax burden associated with recidivism has been published in a peer-reviewed academic journal covering criminal justice reform.
