Habitat for Humanity Williamson – Maury

Habitat for Humanity Williamson-Maury (HFHWM) is a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization and ecumenical Christian ministry that partners with local families in need and donors to build stable, safe homes and sell them with an affordable mortgage. HFHWM was fully incorporated as an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International on December 5, 1992. They have built more than 250 homes in Williamson and Maury Counties and continue to build 10-12 new homes per year.

  • I'm a new applicant, how do I apply?

    New applicants are asked to complete a preliminary one- to two-page letter of inquiry to the Foundation to ensure that the proposed project, organization, and goals align with QHR Cares Foundation priorities. Please describe the proposed project, its goals and objectives, and the approximate level of funding required. To be considered for a grant, please allow sufficient time (approximately 2 weeks) for Foundation staff to review and follow up with the applicant organization.

  • When are grant application deadlines?

    Grants received by the following deadlines will be reviewed at the corresponding board meetings:

    • June 10, 2022 (Quarter 3 Meeting)
    • September 19, 2022 (Quarter 4 Meeting)
  • Do I have to report the outcomes if I receive a grant?

    Organizations that receive funding greater than $5,000 will be asked to submit outcome through online semi-annual and final progress reports.

    The purpose of this evaluation strategy is to provide a consistent and comprehensive framework of accountability and continuous quality improvement for successful agencies and programs.

Our mission relies heavily on the tireless work of talented, dedicated healthcare professionals. As we look to the future, we count on the next generation of physicians, nurses, dentists and lab technicians to carry the torch.

To help meet this critical need, our scholarship program provides financial support for students pursuing healthcare careers. Our program empowers students to take the next step toward their desired professions and ensure the future of good health in rural communities.

Scholarships

Scholarships will be awarded up to $1,000. The scholarship application is open on May 1, 2022 and closes July 31, 2022.  To submit an application please download the form below and send your application and all applicable attachments to info@qhrcares.org.

  • Reside in location served by QHR Health affiliated hospital or health system
  • Minimum 2.75 high school or college GPA
  • Major in a Health Sciences program
  • Evidence of acceptance to an accredited post-secondary institution (college, university, vocational school)
  • US Citizen or legal non-citizen resident
  • Financial need

Cares Fund

The purpose of the QHR Cares Fund is to help QHR Health employees and their immediate families who are affected by financial hardship. This includes natural disaster, extended illness/injury, domestic violence, death of a loved one and other difficult situations.

Who’s Eligible

Only eligible QHR Health colleagues may receive assistance through the Cares Fund, based on set criteria for events causing a financial hardship for the colleague. To be eligible for assistance from the fund, you must meet all requirements:

  • You must be employed directly by QHR Health as a regular full-time or part-time employee at the time of the event causing the hardship, as well as when assistance is provided.
  • The event that resulted in a financial burden must be a direct impact to the colleague.
  • You cannot have received financial assistance from the Cares Fund within the past 12 months.
  • The event causing the hardship must have occurred in the past 12 months.
